Surf, this is where party politics fails us, you've assumed because goose doesn't like Tory politics that he must like Labours politics....when the truth is a vast amount of this country's population think they are ALL useless and neither represents their views and when they actually do once every now and again come slightly close to representing it they renege on their promises during their term in power......in the meantime we bicker amongst ourselves presuming we all like one or the other when the truth is they rely on this assumption so they can go round & round swapping the power to their fellow privileged mates.

If Johnson's PPS, his closest ally and whose advice forms the fulcrum of the PMs decision, feels it is OK to organise that party then then Government has a serious problem. Irrespective of whether Johnson was informed or not, the most important civil servant in the country making daft decisions like that is inextricably linked to Government.

my lot?? what the fuck have you been smoking.
again feel free to post up anything remotely positive i've said about the labour party.
discussing the shit show that is the current government doesnt automatically mean you are a labour supporter. being able to look objectively at what they are doing is how grown-ups operate.

I didn't say you had posted anything about 'Brexit lies'. However, your Labour lot have been talking about little else for the past 5 1/2 years. So, as I said, your lot's spinning about Cummings's 'Brexit lies' has indeed helped reduce his credibility to zero
And yes, you really do have to explain why emails between civil servants not sent to the PM or any other member of the government are 'pretty damning for the government'

I get told I'm wasting my rights when I say I don't want to vote as I don't know what I'm voting for.....the last election was different of course due to brexit getting sorted in a semi pro UK manner rather than a walk over by the EU.....but no one really voted FOR Boris did they?....he was just the only cunt left who looked like he wanted to do right in some part by the country's decision to leave.

I said its was "pretty damning for his government". That doesn't really need explaining.
I see you're making stuff up about 'brexit lies'. Knock yourself out trying to find a post from me about anything vaguely linked to 'brexit lies'.
i'll wait.

What is 'damning' about the emails, none addressed to Boris.
I see you're playing dumb about 'Brexit lies'.

Legally there doesn't need to be a by-election. Morally there is a case but, moreover, there's a tactical reason to as well.
Left - if you cant agree that this comment "If Labour were in power we would still be under lockdown with no end in site." is an opinion rather than fact then you are as blinkered as your hero Johnson.

"we would still be under lockdown with no end in site"
thats not a fact, at best its an assumption.
btw these are the word of Wes Streeting:
"Last week, the Prime Minister told the House of Commons that the Labour Party would have locked down the country over Christmas in response to the Omicron variant.
It's total rubbish."
so not a fact then.

What is the etiquette when an MP elected 2 years ago decides he wants to change parties mid stream like the chap today? Surely he should stand in a by election to have his decision ratified?

Yes it is a fact.
The Labour Party wanted to lock us down harder and longer.
Wes Streeting confirmed this over the weekend when pressed on the subject by a journalist.

The fact is that Labour has - for better or worse - voted with Government all the way on Covid restrictions. It's an unconvincing line of attack for Johnson and his dotes. .
